Activities
There are lots of things to see and do in the surrounding area - you can enjoy a nice day out visiting the coastal villages and treat yourself to a Cullen ice-cream. Take a day trip to Inverness, Aberdeen or Aviemore (roughly 1 hour 20 minute drive). Stop along the way for lunch at “Baxter’s of Speyside” or call into Brodie Country Fare. There are opportunities for fishing or golfing in Buckie itself. Take the dog and the kids for a walk on any of the beautiful beaches and take in the scenery of the lovely moray coastline.
Suggestions:
- Travel along the Speyside way - the cottage is located just a few hundred yards from the start point.
- Tour round the numerous distilleries on The Whisky Trail
- Inverness for shopping, visit Culloden or take in loch ness
- Go dolphin spotting along the coast - a wildlife touring boat leaves from Buckie harbour. The Moray Firth is home to one of the three resident bottlenose dolphin populations in the Uk
- Visit Cairngorm national park with its great ski/snowboarding facilities
