The cottage is situated with numerous other traditional cottages along the sea front in the conservation area of Yardie. It is just yards from the old Buckpool harbour which was transformed into a play park and is ideal for younger children. Buckpool Harbour is also home to the start/end point of the Speyside Way which links the sea at Buckie to the Cairngorms taking in some lovely scenery and villages along the way.
The town centre of Buckie is a short walk from the cottage and the many shops that provide the chance to stock up on groceries, get a bite to eat or just do a bit of shopping. Buckie harbour is also home to the Gemini Explorer Wildlife Watching Vessel.
There are a good selection of pubs/hotels all within walking distance of the cottage.
